President’s Message
Fellow GWDC members,
As we transition into September, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible engagement we’ve received from you over the past few months. Your enthusiasm and participation in our events have been truly inspiring.
I’d like to highlight the success of two major events we recently organized with free entry for our members: the Cybersecurity Summit on July 18th and FutureCon DC on August 22nd. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, especially from those who are fans of in-person events. Many of you shared that you appreciate the opportunity to collect seven or eight CPEs during these full-day sessions. It’s clear that our community values the depth of learning and the networking opportunities that these events provide.
For our members who prefer virtual learning, we have a robust lineup of training sessions and conferences scheduled over the next few months (see the upcoming events section below or the chapter event calendar). These events are designed to cater to your diverse learning preferences, whether you’re looking to deepen your knowledge, earn certifications, or stay ahead of emerging trends.
As we continue to plan our future events, we want to hear from you. Are we missing something in our lineup? Do you have ideas or suggestions for other types of events that would benefit our community? Whether it’s in-person, virtual, or a hybrid approach, we’re eager to know how you would like to collect your CPEs. Please don’t hesitate to reach out through our contact us page and share your thoughts.

How to Participate in CommunITy Day 2024
ISACA communITy day is approaching soon, on Saturday October 5th. Each year, ISACA chapters and staff come together the first Saturday of each October as to exemplify ISACA’s purpose, promise, and values with a global day of service. By doing so, we can help individuals realize the positive potential of technology, and together, we can help people realize the positive potential of ISACA’s global community.
