President’s Message
I am thrilled to share the outcomes of our recent strategy meeting and the exciting lineup of events and opportunities we have planned for the year ahead. Our commitment to providing valuable experiences and fostering a robust professional community remains stronger than ever.
Upcoming Virtual Conferences
We have set our series of virtual conferences for this chapter year. These events are designed to keep you at the forefront of cybersecurity, IT audit, artificial intelligence, emerging technology, and risk management:
- September 26, 2024: Cloud Security
- October 24, 2024: Cybersecurity
- December 5, 2024: Security and Risk Insights
- January 16, 2025: IT Audit
- February 20, 2025: Artificial Intelligence
- March 20, 2025: Emerging Technology
We are actively seeking speakers for these events, especially for the 2025 conferences. If you have experience and talent in these areas or know someone who does, please complete the Call for Speakers form.
Training Programs
This year we will be expanding our popular review courses, training seminars, and workshops. Planned training offerings include:
- Review Courses: This year, in addition to our CISA, CISM, and CRISC review courses, we are also offering courses on CET Cloud Fundamentals and Certificate and the Certificate of Cloud Auditing Knowledge (CCAK™).
- AI and Machine Learning Seminar: Our popular, two-day course on AI and Machine Learning is being held again this fall.
- PowerShell Workshops: Our popular PowerShell seminars will be held as one-day workshops to maximize hands-on experience in this highly useful platform. In addition to the basics workshop, we will host workshops on Windows Logs (Fall) and Active Directory (Spring).
- Cloud and Risk Training: Coming soon.
We are also researching soft skills courses and would love to hear your suggestions and feedback on the types of training you would like to see.
Volunteer Opportunities
We are looking for more volunteers to support our initiatives. Many of these opportunities are virtual, offering flexibility and a chance to expand your network while contributing to our community. We are also exploring options for in-person events and would appreciate any leads on facilities we could use.
