Agentic AI for Cybersecurity Professionals Workshop

October 13 @ 6:00 pm - October 14 @ 9:30 pm EDT
GWDC Members $125 Non-GWDC Members $200

This two-session, immersive workshop provides cybersecurity professionals with a comprehensive understanding of agentic artificial intelligence and its impact on modern cybersecurity operations. The workshop introduces participants to the evolution from traditional automation and generative AI toward agentic systems capable of reasoning, planning, memory, and autonomous action across complex security workflows.

Participants will explore how agentic AI systems operate, including their core components, architectures, and execution models, and how these capabilities are applied across cybersecurity functions such as threat detection, investigation, incident response, vulnerability management, and governance. The program emphasizes practical understanding of how agentic systems interact with data, tools, and decision-making processes in real-world security environments.

The workshop also addresses the risks and challenges introduced by agentic AI, including expanded attack surfaces, autonomous decision-making risks, data integrity concerns, and governance gaps. Participants will examine how these risks can be managed through appropriate controls, architectural design, and alignment with established cybersecurity and risk management frameworks.

The workshop combines instructor-led presentations, conceptual walkthroughs, structured discussions, and applied analysis to bridge foundational concepts with operational application. Participants will develop the ability to evaluate, design, and support the integration of agentic AI into cybersecurity programs while maintaining appropriate oversight, security controls, and governance.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be equipped with practical knowledge and analytical frameworks to assess agentic AI capabilities, understand their role in cybersecurity operations, and support the responsible and effective adoption of autonomous systems within enterprise and federal environments.

Intended audience: This workshop is intended for cybersecurity, IT, risk management, audit, and governance professionals who want to understand how agentic AI is being applied in modern security environments. It is particularly relevant for SOC analysts, incident responders, security engineers, architects, GRC professionals, auditors, program managers, and technology leaders. The course is also well suited for federal employees and government contractors involved in evaluating, implementing, or overseeing AI-enabled cybersecurity capabilities. No prior experience with agentic AI is required.
