Fellow Members,

The new Board of Directors held our annual strategy and planning meeting on July 13-14, 2024.  It was a highly productive two-days where we reviewed our prior chapter year for successes and challenges and set the roadmap for the 2024-25 chapter year.

During the two-day meeting, we established the following goals for the coming chapter year:

• Goal 1: Expand Membership and Engagement to become the largest chapter in the world
• Goal 2: Foster Professional Development and Networking
• Goal 3: Increase Member and Volunteer Satisfaction
• Goal 4: Increase Community Outreach and Social Responsibility
• Goal 5: Utilize Technology for Chapter Efficiency

We developed strategies and objectives for each Officer and Director.  The feedback from over 180 members in the planning survey was invaluable in providing insight into the interests and preferences of chapter members.  Notifications will be sent soon to those who won free GWDC hoodies for completing the survey.

We also began planning the events for the chapter year, including popular virtual conferences and training seminars.  We will also be holding in-person social events and an in-person conference in May/June of 2025.  We are also exploring new types of events, such as a monthly one-hour meeting for those who may not be able to attend conferences during the day.  These events will be posted to the event calendar when they are open for registration.
