Dear Fellow Members,
It seems like only yesterday when the kids went back to school and the tourists went on their merry way to their respective cities and now Halloween and the Elections are already behind us. This means that before we know it the holidays will be here and we will all be scrambling to get our CPEs completed and recorded by year’s end. We just published a great article on just how to achieve that.
And with the holidays coming, what better way to “gift” yourself than to WIN A DELL ALIEN VAULT LAPTOP? The GWDC has launched its CSX Training Program starting with a video contest open to all eligible students with opportunities to win the laptop and other great prizes from RSA Security. We will also be offering our first CSX Training Course slated for February 2018. Stay tuned for more details on this training opportunity.
We continue to look for ways to broaden GWDC’s reach and partner with organizations to bring more value to you, our valuable members. We have partnered with INSecurity to offer GWDC members a special promotional rate to attend their conference this month at National Harbor – see this article for details if you missed it. We’ve also launched a new relationship with Northern Virginia Community College, the largest community college in the nation, to hold our first Cyber Night event there. We’ll be holding our next Cyber Night event at Marymount University on November 21st. These are just a few examples of how we are engaging Young Professionals in GWDC and the broader Academic Community.
Finally, we continue to post news articles, now on a more regular basis so we can get news out to you sooner and quicker. If you have white papers to share, please share them with our communications team – we posted a recent one from Zscaler this month which you can see here.
