Dear Fellow Members,
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving holiday and got to spend some time with your family and friends. It is easy to get caught up in the hectic day to day, but we need to remember to take time to recharge and be with those who matter most to us.
We have our annual holiday networking event scheduled for December 11 at the Continental Modern Pool Lounge in Arlington. I hope to see you there. This event is always a good opportunity to see colleagues, friends, or make new connections before the holidays. It is also an opportunity to bring a guest and introduce them to other chapter members or the Board of Directors.
As 2019 comes to a close, it is nice to take a moment and look back at all the things ISACA GWDC accomplished this year. We have ambitious plans for next year to continue to improve our services and education offerings to members and non-members alike. Our planning and decisions are driven by member feedback through event surveys, contacts from members, or informal discussion. Please be sure to continue to voice your feedback so the chapter Board of Directors can use that to drive continuous improvement and deliver the most relevant training and education.
When you look ahead to 2020 and the goals you set for yourself to accomplish, be sure to see how ISACA GWDC can support you achieve them. Investing in yourself is one of the best things you can do and it is our goal to support our members in their careers and help each of you achieve success.
I hope you all have a joyous and safe holiday season and get to spend time with your loved ones.
As always, we encourage everyone to follow GWDC on social media. We increasingly share updates and news on platforms like Twitter or LinkedIn on a regular basis. It is great way to hear about chapter news in a more real time frequency.
