Dear Fellow Members,
And just like that… we all had our lives changed by COVID-19 and the ripple effect it has across the globe. First and foremost, I hope that everyone is managing to stay safe and healthy in such a difficult time. We recognize there are countless challenges that each of us face as a result of the sudden changes in our lives. Please leverage GWDC and ISACA as resources as much as possible to support you from a professional standpoint. We will continue to post our updates to how we are responding to COVID-19 on our website and social media.
While it is unfortunate, we had to cancel our Women In Technology and Emerging Technology Conferences, we immediately pivoted to offer online continuing professional education as quickly as possible. Our online Cyber Workshops are free and will be continuing through April at the very least. As we schedule more events, we’ll have them added to the calendar for registration. If you missed any of the events, we posted the recordings on our website to view at your leisure. Members can self-claim 1 CPE per event.
Despite the changes we are all dealing with on a regular basis, the chapter is continuing to run normally and moving forward with operations in the best possible manner. Our elections are underway and I strongly encourage all members to review the potential candidates and vote for who you feel is best suited for the officer roles. These leadership roles are very important for the leadership and continuity of our chapter. Your vote matters.
As always, we encourage everyone to follow GWDC on social media. We increasingly share updates and news on platforms like Twitter or LinkedIn on a regular basis. It is great way to hear about chapter news in a more real time frequency. As previously noted, our latest chapter operations updates pertaining to COVID-19 can be found on the GWDC website.
Stay safe and healthy everyone. We look forward to seeing you all in person as soon as possible.
