VCW 2021 – Breaking into the Industry: How to Get the First Job for your Fulfilling Cyber Career

April 20, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

ISACA GWDC is proud to host a continuing series of free Virtual Cyber Workshops (VCW) in 2021. Tune in on how to start a cyber career and breaking into the industry. Join our speaker Daniel Broder as he explains how to put yourself into a winning position and start a rewarding cyber career.

Topic Description:

One of the most difficult questions in terms of where to begin your cyber career is where to start. How does one get the skills and education needed to be employable right after college? What if you’re changing careers from another industry? How does the first job get landed? In this talk, we will go over the multitude number of ways and strategies that recent graduates and career changers can utilize free and low-cost resources to set themselves up for long-term success in the cyber field. From identifying “where” in the industry you would like to fit into entering that space, we will go over great ways to put yourself into a winning position.

About the Virtual Cyber Workshop Series

In an effort to keep our members, the Greater Washington DC region, and the world informed and connected we are holding a series of FREE Cyber workshops. We want to give you an outlet as we all adjust to the new norms we are faced with as a result of the escalating health concerns related to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).  As such, we hope you can join us.

We have a great lineup of presenters who will cover a variety of interesting topics for which one (1) CPE can be earned for each webinar attended. You will need to self-certify, however, as GWDC will not be sending you a CPE certificate.

In case you missed our cyber workshops, click here to view all recordings.
