Review Course for CRISC Fall 2017 Exam (Multi-Day Event)

GWDC sponsoring an intensive 3-day review course for the Fall 2017 Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls™ (CRISC) Exam. The CRISC™ review course will provide practical advice on preparing for the CRISC exam and specific instruction regarding the job practice areas addressed by CRISC as defined by ISACA® International. Students are expected to have prepared for the exam prior to attending the course.

Who Should Attend
This event is intended for anyone sitting for the Fall 2017 CRISC Exam window.
Exam Registration: Starting in 2017, the CRISC exam will be offered via Computer-Based Testing (CBT) during 3 testing windows per year. The Fall window has not been announced.Registration for the CRISC exam is administered by ISACA, not the NCAC. Registering for the review course does not register you for the exam. Students who take this NCAC review class and do not pass the corresponding Exam are eligible for a one-time 50% discount on the next review class offered by the NCAC for the exam. Please read the full policy for discount details.

MEET THE PRESENTERS
CRISC, CISSP, CISA, CIA, CFE, CCSA, CGAP, CPA
Mr. Akowuah holds an MBA and has a MSc. in Computer Information Security from Boston University. He has over 10 years experience as an IT security professional, working as an external consultant with industry-leading consulting firms as well as managing IT security assessment projects for a Fortune 100 company. He has assessed IT risk and security controls for global business operations in over 5 countries and is currently employed with the Federal Government.
Mr. Akowuah's teaching approach focuses on prepping students to face the daunting task of sitting for the CRISC exam with confidence. His goal is to ensure that students pass the exam on their first attempt. His course goes beyond reviewing conventional slides and focuses on tips and techniques critical for passing.
Materials Provided During the Course: Participants receive the instructor's Study Guide to help them prepare for the CRISC exam. The Study Guide contains presentation slides, quiz questions for each domain and additional material such as suggested study approach and exam taking tips.
The instructor highly recommends that students purchase the CRISC Review Manual and the CRISC Review Questions, Answers, and Explanations Database - 12 Month. Below are the study materials available for purchase from the ISACA Bookstore:

All Students: The instructors request all students bring the CRISC Review Manual to each class.
ISACA Members from Other Chapters: You will need to bring your ISACA Membership Card to the event to verify your ISACA Membership.
Earn up to 21 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits in the area of Specialized Knowledge. The ISACA® GWDC is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: http://www.learningmarket.org.
CPE's will be distributed via e-mail along with the event evaluation survey after the completion of the event. Attendees must be present the full day to receive full CPE credit.

Jason joined ISACA in 2006 and presently serves as GWDC President. He’s served on the Chapter Board of Directors since 2014. Jason is very involved with ISACA International and some of his volunteering consists of serving on the Chapter Services Working Group, Leadership Development Advisory Council, and contributing significantly to CISA and CISM exam preparation content. Jason is a Senior Manager within IBM’s Cybersecurity and Biometrics Practice. He holds the CISSP-ISSAP, CISA, CISM, and PMP.
