Dear Fellow Members,
I have some exciting news to share. The Greater Washington, D.C. (GWDC) Chapter was just announced as the 2019 recipient of ISACA’s prestigious K. Wayne Snipes Award. The award recognizes chapters that exceed service goals by actively supporting local membership. Further criteria for the award consists of:
Creating impactful engagement programs offering local services to members; building relationships; effective communication techniques; inspiring membership growth and retention; support of ISACA initiatives; demonstration of fulfilling ISACA’s purpose and promise; evaluation of nominator and endorsers; and timeliness of recognition.
This is a tremendous achievement and recognition for our chapter. It is a testament to all the tireless efforts of our board members and volunteers to serve the community and membership base. The accomplishments and success we have attained could not be possible without a dedicated and passionate group of volunteers. This award is for everyone that has supported the chapter in any capacity and our loyal and supportive members.
If you are you interested in volunteering with the chapter, you can do so by filling out the volunteer form and we’ll get in touch with you.
Thank you to everyone for the continued support to make GWDC a leading chapter in ISACA. We have accomplished a lot to date and have big aspirations for the future.
Respectfully,
Jason Yakencheck
